Something Wry and Pithy...
But enough about your Mom.. Hahahahahahahahaha! Mom jokes never get old! ((But your mom sure does!))
This little business is more of a team effort than you can image.
First, there's my wife Dawn. Not only does she crack the whip, but she also manages to tolerate me, build the website, and take care of payments, all the while keeping a cheerful smile on her face. Please say 'hello' to Mrs. Voris.
Next, there's my daughter Mikayla. She tells me everything I should be doing, everything I'm doing wrong, and then tells me what captions my clients should put on their illustrations. She's 15. Thus not only does she know everything, she's fond of reminding us how old we are. I love her so much, I just don't know what to do.
Lastly, there's me... Howdy. I'm Clint. I'm an artist and a salesman. I grew up in a sign shop; both my parents were sign painters. Well, my dad did a lot of other things besides build and install signs, but you get the idea. I studied calligraphy at the Chicago Institute of Lettering and Design (thanks for finding that article for me, Alma!)
In college, I ran a weekly cartoon strip called "Life and Other Oddities." It was about me as a small boy growing up. Bill Watterson, Paul Coker Jr, Gary Larson and the Gang at Mad Magazine were highy influential on my style and sense of humor.
In the field of graphic arts, I've done everything from welding, to abstract art, to pen and ink drawings, pin striping, air brushing, lettering, calligraphy, and obviously cartooning.
After spending nearly two decades in the insurance industry, I had about all I could take of 'corporate America', and I mean that in a polite way. See, I even have a professional head shot, just to prove how docile I can be in the Home Office. :)
After many years and many sales jobs, I finally knew how I could help other sales professionals, support my family and best of all, get paid to doodle!
